The upcoming Biennial General Meeting (BGM) of the South African Society for Engineering Education (SASEE) will take place on

Thursday, 11th July 2019, 17h00

during the joint SASEE/REES conference in Cape Town. This, our 5th biennial SASEE conference, will be held at the UCT Graduate  School of Business at the Victoria & Alfred WaterfrontAll current members are invited to attend!

As in previous years, conference attendance will include SASEE membership for the two year period 2019-2021. SASEE members who do not plan to attend the conference are still invited to attend the BGM on Thursday as voting members, but will need to renew their SASEE membership if they wish to remain members.

We further invite you to nominate fellow members for positions to the SASEE board for the upcoming term 2019-2021. Nomination form 2019.

Voting will take place by secret ballot at the BGM. Please note that the deadline for submission of nominations is Monday, 8th of July 2019 – all nominations must be received by SASEE via email ( or post. Nominations may also be hand-delivered to either the President (Debby Blaine) or Vice President (Johnson Carroll) at the conference venue on Wednesday, 10 July 2019.

Please note: our constitution states that the only elected board position is President. Other board members are elected as general members, and the board allocates specific portfolios for each board member once they have been voted in.
